Mara’s Selfie-facing

An evening out with great friends Mara and Pete. We decide to take a photo (as you do). I remember that photographers used to tell people to say ‘prunes’ rather than ‘cheese’. See: https://commonplacefacts.com/2021/12/09/photographers-used-to-tell-subjects-to-say-prunes-instead-of-cheese/
And Mara says: “My mouth is too old to say ‘prunes’ ”
Well, that’s the first line of a poem, if ever I heard one. So here it is: ‘Mara’s Selfie-facing’.
And she is. Self-effacing. She makes a lovely picture, cheese or prunes.
