I'm lucky enough to have use of an office/studio where I can either write or draw without the need to clear up afterwards. My Dad says it is my 'man cave', my lovely wife prefers 'studio', if I was pretentious I would call it my 'atelier', but I'm not so I don't. It's my office. It is located in the terminal building at Blackbushe airport (where my aircraft is based) and has a wonderful view directly out over the apron, where the little business jets come and go. The fence below my window often has a gaggle of keen photographers hanging on it, pointing their long lenses at the interesting new arrivals, and there is (of course) a Facebook group where they post their pictures. One such picture appealed particularly to me, and I decided it would make a good drawing. I kept the photo open in front of me on my iPad and, over the course of a couple of afternoons, went from blank paper to 'finished' drawing (are they ever finished though?). As I sometimes do, I took photos of the drawing at various stages. Don't know why. This morning, it occurred to me that it might be interesting to link the photos in a video to show the drawing's evolution. The 'register' is way out (printer's term: it means the photos don't overlap exactly) and next time I'll do better, but anyway here's the result. https://youtu.be/KO1tkOePfwc More poems and drawings soon.
