Rapture
Born again, embracing chance
Accepting what will be by happenstance
The spirit of this youth who once set out
(No plan – more fun to be without)
Imbues the face which gazes skywards now
The odyssey of life survived somehow
Flashing blue, then angels dance
How might one see this dreamy circumstance?
Is this the final trip they talk about?
(No plan – more fun to be without)
But rapture here dispels the furrowed brow
A sanguine habit’s all he will allow
Looking back, its done him well
Surfing rise and fall of oceans’ swell
Going with the flow and seeing how things turn out
(No plan – more fun to be without)
This Rapture’s not about The End of Days
A new beginning’s where he turns his gaze
